As for the limited PP supply, the amount of PPs should perhaps only be limited between episodes, not the entire time. So when episode 5 starts, Luke can only barely manage to crash "safely" and take out on of the AT-ATs, whereas in the end of episode 6 Lando has enough PPs to not only discover that the shields on the second Death Star are online, he also flies the Millenium Falcon through it during the explosion and hunted by several TIE-fighters.

Also, the dark side is supposed to be easier and more seductive, at least in the beginning, so there may be some benefits of not playing it entirely by the Jedi-book, like extra PPs in exchange for some dark side points.

Do not know if anyone else saw this. Wizards of the Coast is not renewing the Star Wars licesne from Lucasfilm. I only got a couple of the new books. So now for sure I will do Star Wars using the cortex system.

I should have a PDF of the new rules and stats, including starships, up and running next week.

The biggest hang up at the moment is the ship construction rules.

The main reason I'm pushing the limited PP rule is to keep the Jedi from being unstoppable, inexhaustable killing machines.

In every other system, they've either been the weakest member of the party or Darth-Vader-lite.  Either in need of protection or well-nigh invincible.

My thought is that even Jedi need to pause to breathe.

Saga-edition came the closest with their concept of fatigue/injury tracks and the Force suite, but I found the system cumbersome and difficult to manage.

That having been said, I'm open to alternatives...
