Is there many players here who use miniatures in their games? I've started to love them and have a large collection of every kind of minis. I used to use them without any grid to get more free-form play, but my D&D4E players insisted on using the grid and now I don't know what will I do when I start to GM other games again.

Anyway, I'd love to hear what minis are you using & see some pics if you have any. I'm likely to use mainly Star Wars miniatures plus some heroclix - I don't know if I'll bother painting them as I've done enough of that; I really prefer prepainted minis but some just have wrong colors. Oh, and what's excellent in SWM is that they've got loads of Super battle droids (that can be bought as singles) that aren't very different from Centurions!

What comes to starships, I have a project of making most iconic BSG ships from paper, and if there's interested GM's here who can use knife & glue I could share what I'll get ready.

I use the spaceship minis from the BSG boardgame. It has vipers, raptors, raiders, heavy raiders and Basestars in the Pegasus expansion. Plus, it's a great boardgame for conniving friends.

There's something about guard droid that's quite close, but color & bulkiness of body don't match as well as SBD's I think.

I also thought about the board game, but can't afford it now. I've been putting paper ships together for a while now while watching tv at evenings Smiley Photos coming later!
